Simulation: Applying A One Health Approach for Global Health Security
Recent infectious disease outbreaks, such as Ebola, HPAI, and Zika, have caused severe burdens on human livelihoods and economies, and posed global health security threats. The emergence of these major disease outbreaks has drawn attention to the increasingly complex interface of humans, animals and the environment and has necessitated a One Health approach to accelerate progress toward a world safe and secure from infectious disease threats. This interactive session will engage participants in a simulation of a disease outbreak where they will work together to address a public health event.
