Prioritising Child Participation for Promoting Child Safety

Traditionally a child is not look upon as a citizen with rights. They are treated as passive receivers of care and nurturing. Community health initiatives do not systematise child’s participation in prevention care and support activities. As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to systematise child’s participation (their right) in addressing the health challenges they are working on. Seeing from a child’s perspective has enabled impactful outcomes.
The content looks at

· How to form and manage nurture clubs, buddy systems, child parliaments and child support groups
· child friendly methods used.
